It never took that long, and I have a Gigabit connection the bug for sure is that it took literally a week to download mails of past year.Looks like exchange sync was misbehaving since the account was also syncing I had added 3 mail accounts- Exchange,, and an AOL.
I don't know what fixed it- not completely but at least to make it less painful and somewhat functional but a few things I noticed: The Exchange account now seems to be working, although I sometime have to manually 'get new messages' and it doesn't download them on its own or takes long. Sharing an update since I first raised the issue here. But after launch, it also lives for about a minute and breaks down again.Įverything works fine on Windows, it works fine through the browser, it works fine on the iPhone, and even in the Mail application on iPhone it never broke. For example, the correct server is, and the mail works, but spontaneously changes to and that's it, it doesn't connect until you fix it to the correct one and restart the application. It’s even worse, a minute after the launch, the connection is lost, in the settings the server itself changes to the wrong one. I decided to switch to Outlook on a 365 subscription. Only deleting the account from the mac and re-configuring it helps. Then it writes that it cannot connect to the server and that's it. The crux of the problem is that by adding an Exchange account to the Mail application, Exchange works correctly from several hours to several days. Technical support cannot advise anything, only promising that the problems will be eliminated. MacOS Mail.app and Outlook The problem with mail on macOS has been dragging on for a long time.
